Websites for manufacturers & suppliers

Manufacturing Website Design

Give a purchasing team the information to start the right conversation.

You know the processes, materials and products you supply. A buyer needs to understand them before requesting a quote. Ekyon organises approved capabilities, product information and a useful RFQ route into your website. We agree where facts come from, who confirms them and how they stay current.

A useful path through the site

Start with what your customer came to do.

01

Find a product or capability

02

Check specifications and supplier fit

03

Send a useful RFQ or enquiry

Illustrative page journey. Content, availability and operational details come from your business.

A buyer needs to recognise capability fit

Explain your processes and work using information your technical team approves. Relevant materials, applications and projects can help someone decide whether to contact sales. Present limits accurately, so buyers can recognise whether the work fits before enquiring.

A product needs usable specifications

Give relevant products or families clear descriptions and approved specifications. Keep identifiers, variants and supporting documents understandable. A buyer should be able to connect the page with the product they enquire about, even when ordering happens through your sales team.

A custom enquiry needs an RFQ starting point

Agree what sales needs initially: work of interest, approximate quantity, timing and contact details, for example. Your team determines fields and follow-up. Drawing review, engineering decisions and pricing remain in your business process rather than being inferred by a form.

Capabilities, products and supporting information

Give each kind of content a clear job.

Capabilities explain what you can do. Product records explain what you supply. Technical resources support assessment. We plan the structure around those distinctions and your actual information.

01

Capabilities with approved scope

Organise processes and services in language the intended buyer understands. Your team supplies the relevant materials, constraints and supporting evidence. Identify work performed by partners where that matters. We make the information readable and connected, while your technical people retain authority over the claims and advice.

02

A manageable product or service catalogue

Agree the record format before filling a large catalogue: name, identifier, description, approved specification fields, relevant assets and enquiry route. Decide which filters or categories would genuinely help buyers. Catalogue size, data condition and update requirements belong in the quote; more complex search or configuration needs its own scope.

03

Documents that support the page

Data sheets, quality information and other permitted documents can sit beside useful web content. Name their source and update owner so old versions can be replaced. Your team approves any certifications or performance statements and what can be published. The website presents that evidence; Ekyon does not certify the manufacturing business.

From information to an RFQ

Carry the buyer's context into the sales discussion.

A quote request is more useful when the receiving team knows which product, process or service prompted it. We agree the initial fields and the handoff, then test both the customer experience and the receiving route.

01

An initial brief your team can use

Ask for the details sales needs to begin, with clear labels and appropriate required fields. Keep the selected product or capability in context. Explain what happens next without promising an instant quote. A technical conversation can follow once your team has assessed the request and knows what additional information is needed.

02

Appropriate handling of files

If a buyer needs to share drawings or other non-public material, agree the permitted route, access and receiving process first. File uploads are separately scoped where required. The initial public enquiry can begin with a description and contact details, without collecting technical files your team has not agreed how to handle.

03

Connections assessed against the actual system

You may already use a CRM, quote tool or product-data source. Review the proposed website connection, access and supported fields before including it. A suitable link or limited handoff may be enough. Replacing an ERP, engineering workflow or quoting engine is a different project from presenting the business website.

Keep the catalogue useful

Plan information ownership as carefully as the layout.

A product page can look finished while its specification or document has become outdated. We agree an approval and update process alongside the website build, with clear responsibilities for continuing content and technical care.

01

One source for the published facts

Name who confirms changes to products, capability descriptions and technical documents. Decide which records your team edits and which enter Ekyon's agreed change list. Where information comes from another system, specify the connection and update behaviour. Avoid promising live data until that source and its reliability have been reviewed.

02

A careful redesign and handover

Review useful existing product and service addresses, downloads and sales links before replacing the site. Agree content transfer and relevant redirects where URLs change. Test search access and important contact actions after release. Record platform support, account ownership, backups and recovery arrangements before ongoing care begins.

03

Discovery with agreed content capacity

When included, research relevant buyer searches and improve useful capability or product pages, titles, internal links and technical access. Keep factual answers and matching structured data readable for conventional and AI search. Review impressions, relevant visits and actual RFQs separately. Maintenance and search work have distinct priorities and allowances in the plan.

Website work you can inspect

A real build, with its scope visible.

Ekyon's website projects demonstrate design and development in their stated contexts, without manufacturing-client or RFQ-growth claims. These catalogue and capability structures are proposed scope, using your approved product and technical information.

A scope you can review

Plan the build and the work after launch.

Our fit guideline is a first-year service engagement of US$5,000 or more, combining starting website work and agreed care. It is not a fixed catalogue package. Content volume, data condition, migration and connections affect scope. Hosting, domains, licences and paid tools are identified separately.

Before you decide

Questions about manufacturing website design.

Can you build a catalogue without online checkout?

Yes. Present approved products and help buyers enquire, with orders and prices handled by sales. We agree records, categories and updates before quoting. Checkout, complex configuration and customer-specific pricing require separate assessment.

Can the website use information from our existing product system?

We review access, data and update behaviour before agreeing a connection. The scope names supported fields and handling of unavailable information. A live feed or deeper integration is not assumed from product pages.

Can buyers submit drawings with an RFQ?

Uploads are assessed separately: permitted files, access, storage and recipient. The initial enquiry can use a description and contact details. Engineering review, technical approval and pricing remain with your team.

Who approves technical descriptions and quality claims?

Your authorised team confirms specifications, limits, certifications and documents. Ekyon structures and publishes approved material within scope. Name an owner for changes and replacement documents so ongoing work has a reliable source.

Does the engagement include maintenance and search work?

These can be included with defined capacity and responsibilities. Care covers agreed technical and content tasks; SEO and AI search readiness have their own plan. Rankings, recommendations and RFQ counts are not guaranteed.
