Planning scope: technical care plus up to four hours/month of agreed routine edits. New features and extra capacity are separate.
Separate operating costs: hosting, domains, licences, usage charges and taxes are excluded.
Ekyon planning assumptions, not a quote or market average. We check the actual site, content, platform, integration and capacity before agreeing a price.

These are Ekyon planning assumptions, reviewed October 12, 2026. They are a starting point for discussing scope, not surveyed market prices or fixed packages. A quote follows a review of your actual website.
First-year service budget = one-time work + 12 × selected monthly care. Twelve months is a budgeting comparison, not a required contract term. Only one care option is counted. Keep hosting, domains, licences, usage charges and taxes in a separate operating budget.
| One-time work | Planning range, USD | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Focused refresh | $2,000–$4,000 | Up to five selected pages on a suitable existing structure. |
| Redesign: 1–5 main pages | $5,000–$8,000 | Supplied approved copy, design/development and standard contact/booking setup. |
| Redesign: 6–12 main pages | $8,000–$15,000 | The same base assumptions, with a broader main-page scope. |
| Redesign: 13–20 main pages | $12,000–$22,000 | The same base assumptions; large catalogues and content libraries need review. |
| Focused copy edits | $100–$200 per main page | Existing copy is supplied. Use the minimum/maximum page count of your selected band. |
| Main-page copywriting | $250–$450 per main page | Requires business facts and approvals. Replaces the editing allowance. |
| Supported CMS move | $1,000–$2,500 extra | Setup and agreed content transfer; confirm platform and content condition. |
| Changed URL mapping | $500–$1,500 extra | Up to 50 changed URLs, relevant redirects and checks. Separate from CMS setup. |
| One straightforward integration | $1,000–$3,000 extra | A defined connection to a supported system; confirm API access and behaviour. |
Choose the continuing responsibility.
Technical care uses a preliminary $250–$450/month allowance. Care plus up to four hours of routine changes uses $500–$900/month. Care plus up to eight hours shared across changes and content/search work uses $1,000–$1,800/month. The latter replaces the other options; capacities do not stack. Confirm the supported platform, priorities, service hours and response arrangements before starting.
Protect the useful work already on the site.
The base includes standard launch checks, including the important contact/booking route and page search settings. Changed URLs add mapping work. A redesign can still cause search fluctuations. Keyword/content work and clearer information for search assistants can be agreed within the selected content/search capacity; rankings, AI citations and enquiries are not guaranteed.
A smaller job can be the sensible choice.
If the site is suitable and only a few pages need attention, a focused refresh may be enough. Our core-service fit guideline is a US$5,000+ first-year service budget. The calculator still shows a smaller scope honestly; a targeted repair or simpler provider may suit it better.
A takeover without redesign, uncertain platform, more than twenty pages, a larger migration, commerce, portals or multiple integrations needs a scope review. The selected care allowance can still help you plan, but the tool does not show a complete first-year total until the starting work is understood.

The questions worth settling.
How much does a website redesign cost?
This calculator uses Ekyon's planning assumptions: US$5,000–8,000 for a redesign of one to five main pages with supplied approved copy and standard contact/booking setup, before selected extras and ongoing care. Six to twelve pages use US$8,000–15,000; thirteen to twenty use US$12,000–22,000. These are preliminary scope assumptions, not market averages or fixed quotes.
How is the first-year website budget calculated?
Add the one-time work to twelve months of the selected care option. Only one care option is counted. Hosting, domains, licences, usage charges and taxes are excluded, so add those to your separate operating budget.
Does the calculator include maintenance, SEO and AI search work?
You can select no ongoing service, technical care, care with routine changes, or care with content/search capacity. The content/search option can include agreed SEO and clarity improvements for search assistants within its shared capacity. It does not guarantee rankings, AI citations or enquiries.
Why might my website need a scope review instead of a total?
A takeover without redesign, uncertain platform, larger migration, more than twenty pages, commerce, portals or several integrations needs a scope review. The calculator lists those questions rather than presenting an incomplete first-year total.
Do I need to give my email to use the calculator?
No. You can see the budget, assumptions and project brief without entering an email. Copy or download the brief, or choose to bring it into an enquiry. Sending the enquiry is a separate action.
