Managed websites for construction companies

Construction Website Design

Give project owners a clear picture of what your firm can deliver.

A referral or shortlist often brings someone to your website before they speak with your team. They want to check your capabilities, understand your role in previous work and find the right contact. Ekyon designs and builds construction websites around those decisions, organizing your services, sectors and approved project evidence. We also agree how the website will be maintained as your business changes.

A useful path through the site

Start with what your customer came to do.

01

Identify the project type

02

Review relevant capabilities

03

Send a suitable project enquiry

Illustrative page journey. Content, availability and operational details come from your business.

Help buyers assess capability

Explain the project types you take on, where you operate and which responsibilities your team handles. Connect the information to relevant completed work so a developer comparing contractors can judge whether a conversation is worthwhile.

Put your role in each project on record

A photograph of a building does not explain who delivered it. Project pages should identify your scope, the setting and the work completed, using information the client has approved. Distinguish main-contract work, specialist packages and collaboration so the portfolio accurately represents your firm.

Send enquiries to the appropriate team

Give new-project discussions, supplier introductions and careers enquiries clear contact paths. Ask for enough context to route each request. Your team keeps responsibility for reviewing opportunities and deciding what to pursue.

Services and sectors

Explain the work you pursue before asking someone to contact you.

A commercial general contractor, a specialist subcontractor and a residential builder need different page plans. We organize the site around your actual services and the buyers who commission them.

01

Capabilities with clear boundaries

Describe your services and delivery role in language a project owner can understand. Explain when your team joins a project and what you take responsibility for. If a service depends on a partner, specialist or separate agreement, make that relationship clear instead of presenting it as an in-house capability.

02

Sector-specific context

A refurbishment, industrial facility and new commercial development raise different questions. Where you have relevant work, organize it by meaningful sector or project type. Explain the constraints and coordination involved using approved facts. Empty sector pages added only to target search phrases do not help a buyer assess you.

03

Credentials your company approves

Present current team biographies, memberships and credentials you can verify and publish. Your company approves the wording and documents. Website delivery does not certify contractor licensing, safety or compliance. A badge should never imply a status you do not hold.

Project portfolio

Turn a job archive into evidence a shortlist can use.

Construction work is often collaborative and confidential. We plan project pages around what you can publish, explaining your contribution without exposing private client information. A concise record helps a buyer assess your work.

01

Explain the brief and your contribution

For each selected job, record the project type, location at an appropriate level, your agreed role and the work completed. Add dates, scale or contract information only where reliable and approved. Describe a difficult constraint or delivery decision when you can substantiate it; avoid invented outcomes or performance figures.

02

Use authentic, credited media

Choose photographs, drawings or videos you have permission to publish. Identify proposed designs and works in progress accurately. We arrange and optimize the media for the page, with captions and credits where needed. Your team confirms permissions and any restrictions before content is made public.

03

Keep the archive easy to explore

A buyer can browse by sector or service, then reach the relevant contact from a project page. We agree the content and editing workflow. New entries follow a consistent record format while preserving the details that make each job different.

Website responsibility

Keep public information current without turning the site into project software.

The initial scope covers the public website and enquiry routes. We review existing pages, plan the design and content, and test the site before your approval to launch. Operations software and confidential collaboration require separate assessment.

01

A useful first project enquiry

Ask for the project type, general location, stage, intended timing and a way to contact the sender. Identify who receives the enquiry and what your team does next. Public forms do not need confidential tender documents to start a conversation. Private uploads or a secure bid portal require a separately assessed scope.

02

Launch and search foundations

Use readable service and project information, descriptive titles and crawlable links. During a rebuild, review existing URLs, redirects and working contact routes. Matching factual metadata can support search and assistant interpretation, but it cannot guarantee rankings, citations, enquiries or a place on a client's shortlist.

03

Editing, support and existing systems

Agree who publishes completed projects, team changes and updated service information. Ekyon can provide ongoing care under a separate scope, with included work and response expectations documented. Connections to an existing CRM or estimating tool need a feasibility check; scheduling, cost control and construction management software are not included in a website build.

Website work you can inspect

A real build, with its scope visible.

The Ekyon website projects shown here demonstrate design and development for other businesses. They are not construction client projects or evidence of winning tenders. Your firm's approved project records, photographs and credentials will provide the relevant construction evidence on your own website.

A scope you can review

Plan the build and the work after launch.

Plan for a US$5,000+ first-year service engagement, including the starting website work and agreed ongoing care. This is a fit guideline, not a fixed package or build quote. Pages, content and connections determine the scope. Hosting and third-party tools are budgeted separately.

Before you decide

Questions about construction website design.

What does a construction website design project include?

The agreed scope can cover website planning, design and development, service and sector information, a project archive and enquiry routes. We document the page list, supplied content, editing responsibilities and launch checks before quoting. Private portals, estimating tools and broader construction software require separate assessment.

Can you build around our existing construction website?

We review the current site, platform, access and useful content first. The right scope may retain existing parts or involve a rebuild. Where URLs change, we plan appropriate redirects and test the contact routes. We cannot promise that existing search positions or traffic will remain unchanged.

How do we show projects where several companies were involved?

State your firm's role and the work it delivered. Use approved descriptions and media, identifying collaborators and credits where relevant. We help structure the record; your company confirms accuracy and publication permission. Confidential details can be omitted while accurately explaining your role.

Is this the same as your construction software work?

No. This service is for a public business website that explains capability and receives enquiries. Project tracking, estimating, document collaboration and operational workflows have different requirements. If those are the main problem, we can discuss the separate custom-software route before defining any build.

What information helps you scope our website?

Send the current URL, services, sectors, coverage and a few projects you can describe publicly. Explain who handles enquiries and approves content. Include your budget and existing tools; private bid files are not needed for this first discussion.

Bring your current website or your plans

Show us the projects and buyers your website should speak to.

Share your current site and the work you want to pursue. We will discuss project evidence and website responsibilities, then scope the build before quoting.
